Stars turned out in force in Londonís West End for the Gala Screening of Lion Ark, the award-winning film which charts ADIís daring and historic rescue of animals from circuses across Bolivia. Emmy winning comedian Alexei Sayle, X Factor boyband Fifth Street, wildlife presenter Anneka Svenska, TV vet Marc Abraham, nutritionist Gillian McKeith, DJ Nutty Traxx and social justice campaigner Peter Tatchell all highly commended Lion Ark in interviews after the screening. The audience gave the critically acclaimed documentary a standing ovation. Celebrities supporting Lion Ark on the red carpet also included Bollywood actress Sofia Hayat, former model and animal campaigner Celia Hammond, peace campaigner Bruce Kent, TV news host Asha Tanna, composer Karel Havlicek, The Apprentice contestant Raef Bjayou and punk band The London Dirthole Company.

DJ Nutty Traxx was so moved by Lion Ark that he pledged proceeds from the sale of his upcoming tracks to ADIís latest epic rescue as we once again assist authorities to enforce an animal circus ban, this time in Peru. We currently have 30 lions, 9 primates and several other animals in our care and need to raise £200,000 for the final phase to fly 30 lions to their forever homes at a US sanctuary and construct habitats for the monkeys and transport them to their Amazon sanctuary.

  • Donations to relocate and rehome the animals are gratefully received.

Lion Ark is currently playing in cinemas across the UK, with Q&A sessions following each screening. Audiences are treated to the latest news from rescue team leaders ADI Vice-President Tim Phillips and ADI President Jan Creamer who produced and directed Lion Ark, and have come straight from their latest ambitious rescue operation in Peru.
