Tarzan: a loveable rogue passes away

Over the Christmas period, Tarzan, a tiger historically rescued by ADI from a circus in Portugal, sadly passed away during the night.

Tarzan had spent almost three peaceful years at the ADI Rescue Centre in South Africa, having suffered a lifetime of hardship in the circus. Since his relocation to the sanctuary on the 2nd February 2007, Tarzan has won the affection of all who knew him. Though sadly missed, he leaves us with happy memories, and a story that betrays the hardship which animals in the circus must endure.

Here are some of memories from the past three years since we met Tarzan - from the first day he stepped into his new home, and as he grew into the charming and loveable tiger that all who knew him will remember.
