Back the ban in Kilkenny!

Posted: 5 March 2013. Updated: 5 March 2013

Last year Kilkenny Borough Council voted down a motion to ban wild animal circus acts on council land put forward by Green Party Councillor Malcolm Noonan. Good news! Councillor Noonan has managed to get the motion re-introduced and we need you to help secure a ban.

Contact Kilkenny councilors today!

Please email the following councilors urging them to vote YES ahead of the vote on Monday, March 11th and tell them why it’s wrong to keep wild animals in circuses.

If you live in or near Kilkenny, please attend a peaceful demo on the night of the vote organised by our campaign partner ARAN. Councillors will be greeted by a chained “elephant” Nellie and supporters holding ‘Stop Circus Suffering’ posters.

When: Monday, March 11th at 7pm sharp – 8pm
Where: Kilkenny Town Hall, High Street (opposite Supermac’s)
