Surprise, Arizona says NO to elephant abuse

The town of Surprise, Arizona has made a compassionate choice to cancel an appearance of abused elephants from Have Trunk Will Travel (HTWT) at their upcoming “Surprise Party” and will not have elephants for any other city events moving forward!

ADI shared and discussed our shocking undercover evidence with Surprise’s Community and Recreation Services Director, Mark Coronado, the Mayor and Council. Mr. Coronado made it clear he appreciated ADI’s professional, fact-based approach which allowed him time to evaluate the evidence, consult experts and make a thoughtful decision.

ADI’s video shows elephants at HTWT being violently and routinely beaten with bullhooks and shocked with stun guns. See the evidence and help ADI’s ‘No Fun for Elephants’ campaign here.

HTWT contracts are now canceled at the Santa Ana Zoo; San Diego, Los Angeles, Nevada, Kern, and Orange County Fairs; the cities of Sierra Madre, Fountain Valley, and Upland; and Curacao Children’s Fair in Los Angeles.
