The Colombia Sin Toreo coalition, of which ADI is part, campaigns to support the abolition of bullfighting in Colombia through the process and approval of government legislation.

Following meetings and collaboration with members of the coalition, the Minister of the Interior announced the filing of a bill that will eliminate bullfighting in the country.

Countries participating in the spontaneous call for a Colombia Without Bullfighting included United Kingdom, United Status, The Netherlands, Lisbon, Spain, Bulgaria, Ecuador, France, and Peru.

In Colombia, a weekend of action took place on February 18 and 19. Citizens from many regions expressed their full support for legislation to leave cruel and violent traditions using animals such as bullfighting in the past. Some of the cities that took part - organising marches, candlelit vigils, artistic and culture events, conferences etc. - included Cali, Medellín, Pasto, Bugalagrande, Popayán, Barranquilla, Ibagué, Manizales, Putumayo, Risaralda, Bucaramanga and Bogotá.
